Wednesday Loves

This week I am loving a few different baby/kid items.

GRADUATES® FOR TODDLERS PASTA PICK-UPS® – Chicken & Carrot Ravioli

The babies are pretty much eating whatever we eat, but occasionally I need something else to feed them.  They love these pasta pick-ups.  They have different kinds and they are quick and easy.

Old Navy socks for kids are the best.  They are thick and comfy and they stay in place!  They last forever and come in different colors.

Crayola Color Wonder Stow & Go Studio Assorted Colors

Sam loves Crayola Color Wonder activities.  We have gone through quite a few of them and they are great for car rides.  I also love them because the markers only work on the magic paper! The one in the picture is the Stow and Go version and works great for travel.

PBSKids.org

I don’t know how I have missed out on PBS kids for so long.  There are some really cute and educational shows on PBS.  Sam loves Super Why and Wild Kratts!

What are you loving?

Brown Bear, Brown Bear

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

This was one of Sam’s favorite books. When he was around 17 months old I could ask him to identify each animal on the back and he could!  He can now “read” the entire book to the babies.  Of course he has it memorized, but they love it!  They sit so still and take in every bit of it.  Jessica and I were talking about how much more time we spent reading to Sam and Parker than we do our babies.  It is just so hard to fit it all in.  I hope to really start to work on that.Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?IMG_8348

Sam also loved and can almost recite Goodnight Moon.   For his birthday Nonna gave him a recordable copy with her voice.

Now he would rather read these books (not my favorite), he has like a million.

Dana got Sam these precious books featuring a “Sam” for his birthday.  Isn’t that a great gift idea!!!IMG_8351

This Melissa and Doug puzzle was one of BB’s tonsil gifts and Sam can put it together all by himself and is so proud!

The “For Sale Friday” items sold, there will be more this Friday.

For Sale - Friday

I have so many things I would like to re-sale so I am going to post a few things on Friday’s.  If you are interested please leave me a comment.  The clothes I don’t mind mailing, but the toys I would rather deliver in person to those of you close to me.  So if you know of anyone who is having a baby you might let them know.

When I had Sam I received everything I needed from showers, but I bought gently used things (swings, bouncy seats, etc.) for my moms house.  I didn’t want to have to haul everything with me when we went to visit.  Just an idea…

There are a few things I am keeping for our next baby…just kidding!  No Way!

I was out of town last Friday so I am going to post this today.

Feeling Better

IMG_8305

Sam has finally started feeling better.  The doctor told us he would need to rest and not go to school for a week.  He said that it would take two weeks for him to feel 100%.  We have quit giving him the pain medicine and are now rotating Motrin and Tylenol.  It has been a long week, but I feel very lucky that Sam has done as well as he has.  I really feel the little “happy” gifts along the way made the difference.  Whenever he was about to have a melt down we just pulled out a new puzzle or activity or played farm.  Thanks so much Pop and BB.IMG_8304

Thank you to everyone who has checked on us!

Wednesday Loves

I first saw this on Mandy’s blog and decided I wanted to try it. This is my first Wednesday Loves and I am linking up with Jamie.

This week I am loving websites and blogs.

I love www.Zulily.com, it has daily deals for moms, babies, and kids and they email you their deals each day.  I have purchased many cute outfits for the kids lately and at great prices.  I even found their Easter outfits here which I love!  Sign up!

I love www.etsy.com, it is a place to buy and sell handmade or vintage items.  I ordered many of Sam’s birthday party items from here and recently just received the kids new Easter baskets that I ordered here also.

I love the blog world and I love blogging.  We all blog for different reasons and read different blogs for different reasons.

Most of the blogs I read are the blogs of my friends.  In this busy life it is my way of staying connected and in some cases watching their children grow.

I read kellyskornerblog.com (who doesn’t?).  I love her blog because she seems so relatable, honest, and a great Christian who inspires. She also keeps up with a lot of trendy items and sites for kids.  She has great links and I enjoy some of the “Show us Your Life” Fridays.

I read dearbabyblog.com because they are nothing like me and I find them so interesting.  They are what I would call “hippie…ish” (I know not a word) from San Francisco- now relocated-who are into music, artsy stuff, and each other.  Sounds just like me and E huh? HA!

I also love party blogs and have about 20 saved on my favorites!

My blog is pictures from our lives, things I want to remember, fun things we get to do, moments from our day. People ask me all the time how I have time to blog.  My friend Christina was sweet enough to share this with me and it made a world of difference.  windows-live-writer-os=other Around 8:00 when all the kids are in bed I sit down in front of the TV with my laptop and blog and it is my wind down time.  With this program I can do it so quickly!

Any blogs you love that I need to check out?

Phone Pics

car3

This was taken on our way back from Sheridan a few weeks ago.  This is probably the only quiet time I had all day…ha!  Sheridan is about 2.5 hours from HR so I have to be prepared.  It works out best when I can arrange our drive around nap time, but that doesn’t always work out.  We have movies, and toys, and our cups, and puffs.  Anyone have any other travel tips???carcool

Sam with his shades, play phone, and headphones for his movie.  He is ready for a long ride home.target

A trip to Target with all 3 kids, don’t worry BB was with me, I am not that crazy!

Time with the Babies

Sam had a much better day today and was so ready to get out of the house so this afternoon Nonna took him over to her house.  The babies and I had the best afternoon just playing.  They are so much fun!

Day 3- No Tonsils

IMG_8262

Today we had a rough morning, but the afternoon was much better.  We have been setting the alarm to wake Sam up to give him his pain medicine on schedule.  Last night I got up at 1:00 and gave him medicine and then forgot to re-set the alarm so about 6:30 he woke up in major pain.  I felt horrible!  I won’t make that mistake again!

It is hard to be inside on these beautiful days, day after day!  Today we moved Sam to the LR couch for a change of scenery and look who had to check on him.IMG_8263

IMG_8279

By the afternoon Sam was feeling better and was ready to play a little bit.  Pop had brought him some new harvest toys and he couldn’t wait to test them out.  My mom left today and Nonna came and helped me.  She took the babies home with her tonight.  Sam did not want them to leave, this is the first time he has been at home without them.

Mom brought a bunch of small wrapped gifts and told me to pull them out as needed to get Sam over a hump.  Tonight when the babies left was a perfect opportunity.  Thanks BB!  Every lit bit helps when you are trying to keep a toddler occupied.  Jac Jac came by today and brought him a “happy” too.  So far he hasn’t been climbing the walls, but I feel it may be approaching.

Sissy played with her Bitty Baby for a while today.  She thought she needed to try out her bottle.IMG_8271

I am so grateful that E and I have such wonderful families that pitch in and help us so much.  We love them and couldn’t do it without them.
