Target

This past weekend my parents came for a visit and Sam was so excited to see them. Sunday we went to Mrs. Donna’s for a family get-together. Sunday was Kelley, E’s sister's, birthday I can’t believe she has been gone almost five years. I so wish she was here for me to ask her all the twin questions, and because I miss her.

Monday I took Sam to the doctor for his 18-month check up. She said he was doing great; he is in the 70% for height and 20% for weight. He is a great eater, just moves all the time! She suggested we try to move him into his toddler bed because it won’t be long and I won’t be able to lift him. I just can’t see him staying in his toddler bed yet. We are still working on how we are going to do things once I get bigger. They are having a later harvest than usual so E may not be done until sometime in November. Maybe we will make it until then and E can take over!

After the appointment we made a quick Target trip. As soon as we walked in we saw these witch hats. Sam loves hats and as soon as I showed it to him, he had it on his head. He wore it all over the store; of course I had to buy it. I took this picture with my phone.

Reality is Setting In

I think I have been in a bit of denial! I just kept telling myself everything is going to be fine. And hopefully it will, but yesterday my body started telling me it was going to be a little harder than I thought. I am a week away from 5 months and look bigger than I did with Sam at 6! When I was pregnant with Sam I didn’t want any pictures. For those of you who haven’t started your family yet, take pictures of yourself, just for yourself:) I wish I had pictures to go back and look at during the different stages. Yesterday, I think I was experiencing some growing pains and my back was hurting. My stomach is already in my ribs and I am becoming uncomfortable. I know I sound a little whiney…I can really handle it; I just keep thinking this is so early for all of this to be happening. I have been feeling really good except for the past couple of days so I feel very lucky. I just keep wondering where these little babies are going to go:)

It's a Boy and a Girl!!!

We went to the doctor yesterday for a check-up. I am 17 weeks and Dr. B did an ultra sound to check on the babies. Both of our parents and baby Sam went, but this time we made them wait in the waiting room. We started out asking a lot of questions about flu shots, high risk doctors, hospitals, bed rest, and so on. Dr. B told us at 27 weeks I would probably look full term and would really have to start cutting back on my activities. He said we will just take it a visit at a time, but the more rest I get the better off I will be. He started the ultra sound by checking out twin A as he calls it. He did a lot of measuring and then told us that it was a BOY. I told him to keep looking because there had to be a girl in there somewhere. He then moved on to twin B, again with the measurements and then telling us he thinks this one is a GIRL. I was so excited! He said they were both measuring at 17 weeks so that is great and they were very active. It looked like baby boy was elbowing baby girl in the head, they are already fighting:). E asked lots of questions and Dr. B spent a lot of time with us. We go back in 4 weeks so hopefully everything will continue to go well. I have so much to do!

Labor Day Weekend

Monday when we got home we went to the field and rode E's new combine. Sam loved standing up in the front and looking out the front glass. He got to see his dad doing what he loves. He pointed out every tractor in the field. Nonna and Pop were waiting on us when we got off. We may have a future farmer on our hands.

We went to Sheridan over Labor Day weekend. The Hogs played Saturday and I took Sam this cute Razorback outfit down there to wear. My neighbor bought the game and we had a watch party. All day we had been working with Sam on his colors. We kept making a big deal about how he and Papa both had on red shirts. Well come game time, Sam would not take off his shirt! He has never done that before, I guess he just wanted to be like Papa.

Audra came by to see Sam before she went to the game.
This is me 16 weeks pregnant, getting bigger every day. We find out what they are Monday, I can't wait!

Sam is obsessed with these boots. This is him after his bath, he had to put them back on. I have been fighting with him every morning about wearing them to the babysitter. Well this morning he won. When I picked him up, Melinda said she couldn't even get them off of him for his nap. So if you see him in them, just know it was not my doing.

Happy Birthday Kendall

Monday was Kendall's 10th birthday. I can't believe it, she was 6 months old when E and I started dating. Saturday we had a birthday party for her at Nonna and Pop's house. Sam had such a big time and thought he was just as big as the rest of them. We got home that afternoon and I laid him down around 5, he slept until 7 the next morning. He was so worn out!

This kid LOVES watermelon!

Sam wanted his hat because Uncle Jackie had on his. I didn't bring it, but he came outside wearing this one...

Kendall and her brother Andrew and sisters Emmaline, Elizabeth, and Lina Grace. We missed Kip and Maggie.
