13 Months

IMG_7853

The babies are 13 months and so many things are happening.

They are really walking everywhere!  Sam started walking two weeks after he turned two and so did the babies.  It is so strange to be in a room and see one of them come walking in.  They have also started cutting their top teeth.  They are down to a morning and a night bottle and milk and juice in their sippy cup during the day.  They are eating pretty much everything.IMG_7855

One year stats:

Weight: 23 pounds- 55th percentile

Height: 30.5 inches- 67th percentile

Sawyer has been super clingy lately and only wanting his mommy.  He is so lovable and cuddly, but has a mischievous side as well.  He will go to do something he knows he isn’t supposed to and look at me to see if I am going to tell him no.  He still wakes up in the middle of most nights and screams until I take him to bed with me.

Baxley is my climber lately!  We have to watch her all the time because she is constantly on top of something.  She will push her toys up to things and climb on top of them to get onto something else.  We find her on the couch, on top of tables, standing on tall toys, etc.  She is a great sleeper and sleeps all night, every night in her bed.IMG_7859

I can really tell this month that they aren’t babies anymore:(IMG_7861

And I had to include a pic of this big boy!  He will be 3 next week and we are planning his tractor party.

My Tie

IMG_7738

E and I had so many college t-shirts and they were taking up so many drawers so a few years ago I decided to have a quilt made with them.   I used some of the Sig-Ep (E’s fraternity) and Chi Omega (my sorority) shirts.  We use it all the time and it got me thinking today.IMG_7741

This is the shirt that started it all.

E is a year younger than me and we started dating his freshman year, my sophomore year.  I had seen him around the Sig-Ep house and had a slight crush on him.  He was friends with a few of my friends boyfriends.  We had a drop-in (party) with the Sig-Eps coming up.  The way this drop-in worked is all the guys would send over a tie with their phone number on it and we would go by the suite and pick one up.  We then called them and they brought us a cooler and something to drink to the party.  I was friends with the social chairman and in class one day was giving her a list of phone numbers of my friends so she could grab me one of those ties.  One of E’s friends was in the class and told me I should add E’s number.  I didn’t even know his number, but his buddy convinced me to put it down.  I probably gave her five numbers and which tie did she bring me…E’s tie!  I was so embarrassed I couldn’t even call him.  Most guys got their date’s a small cooler.  Not E, I think he bought the biggest cooler he could find.  He said guys at the house would ask him, “Have you seen your date?  She could fit in that cooler.”  This drop-in started it all.

I would have never believed you if you would have told me that 11 years later we would have been married for going on 7 years and have 3 children.  We have been through so much and have survived and we have so many things to be grateful for!  Happy Valentines Day!

Morgan brought Madeley by to see us on their way to Little Rock.  She was dressed so cute!  We are in our comfy clothes getting ready for our ride back home.  Look at Sawyer about to go for her bow.  Madeley taught the babies to blow kisses.IMG_7810

We made it home in time to get out and enjoy this pretty weather a little bit more.

Snow Day

grocery2

Yesterday, I woke up and began to get ready for work when I got a call that school was cancelled.  I had been putting off my Wal-Mart trip for probably 2 weeks so needless to say I really needed to go.  E said it was probably going to get worse throughout the day so E, Sam, and I headed to WM.  We took E’s truck and poor Sam barely had room in the back:)IMG_7635

This is Baxley’s new permanent spot!
