Fire Station

IMG_4444

Sam has been wanting to go to the Fire station for the longest time.  He talks about it every time we pass it.  Captain Britton is married to one of my friends that I teach with.  She arranged for Sam to get the special treatment:)  Thanks so much guys!  He already wants to go back.IMG_4437

Back to Normal

IMG_4432

Well things are back to normal…thank goodness.  All babies are well, Mrs. Sandra is back, and my sanity has returned..ha!

Last weekend E and I went to Memphis to celebrate Katy’s birthday with a bunch of our friends.  We stayed at the Peabody and I got to sleep in a little.  It was my first night away from both babies.  I had been away from Bax when Sawyer was in the hospital.  Nonna came and stayed with the kids…thanks Nonna!

The babies are looking at each other all the time.  I love it, I could sit for hours and watch them.  I can’t wait to continue to watch them interact as they get older.  IMG_4398

These are some pics from Sheridan.  Sam was so proud he had dressed himself…notice his shorts on backwards.IMG_4397 Sweet Sawyer feeling better:)

Feels Like Summer

IMG_4407 Yesterday we went to Jac Jac’s for the day.  We usually spend most of our summer there and this was our first time this year.IMG_4410 Sam is doing so good swimming and jumping in!

We have been in Sheridan for a while getting over all of this sickness.  Before our hospital stay we had a great weekend.  Sam, Audra, and I went out to the Country Club for the Jack Williams Golf Tournament.  My dad has played in this tournament for as long as I can remember.  We went out and played around on the putting green waiting for him to come in._MG_4385

Children's Hospital

I mentioned I wish my kids would get well, yeah not so much. Last Thursday the kids and I came to Sheridan. Saturday I noticed Sawyer seemed warm. He had a rough night and by Sunday morning he was burning up. I called and got him in to the Children's Hospital after hours clinic. Mom kept Sam and Bax for me and Audra went with me to take him. By the time we arrived his temp was almost 104. They did some blood work and gave him some Tylenol. They sent us over for a chest x-ray (which is the strangest looking thing ever)! When we made it back to the clinic his temp was down to 100 and all the tests looked good. They sent us home and told me if his fever came back up to call. So I dropped Audra off and we went back to moms. Later in the afternoon his fever was back to 103.9 so I called them back. He was crying every time we moved him, which concerned them so they told us to take him to the ER. So, I picked Audra back up (who by the way may never have kids after the day I put her through) and we headed back to the hospital. They immediately took us back and did more blood work and test. His fever was 105 and they decided to do a spinal tap and give him an IV. This was by far the hardest day I have had in a LONG time. His heart rate was REALLY high so they admitted us to the hospital and we stayed two nights. We are back at moms now and he is doing great. He just had a BAD virus and is no longer running fever.
This is my calm sweet boy and he had been SO UPSET, broke my heart. He felt so bad! These are pics I took with my phone, once he was feeling so much better (day 3). I was a nervous wreck up to this point.

Mrs. Donna came and stayed with us in the hospital. I couldn't have made it by myself.

Thanks Mrs. Donna, Mom, and Audra for helping me through this terrible time.

Around the house

Mrs. Sandra had surgery yesterday so I have just been hanging out at the house with all 3 kids.  We took the babies for their check-up yesterday and Dr. S thought they should be better by now so she gave them a different antibiotic.  I am so ready to get these kids well!

I am taking Sam to the Library this afternoon for Brian Kinder and the summer reading program.  IMG_4194

Baptism

Sunday we had the babies baptism. It was so nice and we are so blessed to have such a wonderful family that always supports us. After the ceremony we headed to Mottie’s for desserts.
