Sunday we hung out at the pond with some friends. It was a little windy, but nice.

Poor Linz…she tried so hard...but no fish!

What we have been up to…
I am so tired of this allergy/sinus stuff…I mean really…enough already!
I cooked…I know gasp…a breakfast casserole the other night and my family ate the entire thing…go me!
E’s parents are in Jamaica, Nonna sent me this pic of Pop relaxing! I am so glad they are enjoying their time!
Sam’s birthday party is this weekend and I am so pleased with his invites.
I attended a Baby Luncheon for my friend Claudia at the Forrest City Country Club…it was so nice and she looked so cute!
I also signed Sam up for Wee Ball…I can’t believe he is old enough to play ball! I can’t wait!
My blog is a work in progress, I am in major need of a facelift, but don’t really know what I am doing or have time…so bare with me:)
Today was a hard day. A man I teach with unexpectedly lost his wife last night. They have a daughter in Jr. High and a son who turned 4 TODAY. We were expecting our boys at the same time and had a joint baby shower at work. I saw him with the kids this morning and just hugged him and cried with him. My heart breaks for them! It brought back so many feelings from when we lost E’s sister. I don’t know that I would have been able to handle losing Kelley if I had been a mother then. It was SO awful, but now that I am a mother it is a completely different feeling. I can’t put words to it…just absolutely heartbreaking!
Okay… and wait for it…I have to brag on E…I know weird right! E has helped me so much lately. I am dreading going back to bath time (the hardest part of the day by far) by myself. I wish you could see it! Bathing 3 children as they splash water all over me and the bathroom. Then taking them out to dry, lotion, diaper (babies), clean ears, brush teeth, brush hair, dress, all the while making sure no one pee’s on the floor or drowns…I know sounds like a blast right? I hope he knows how much I appreciate everything he has been doing to help me.
I just want to hug everyone a little tighter tonight!
This post is a little late.
We have survived two years!!! Surely they will be the hardest…right???????
People ask me all the time how I do it, and I have to give the babies most of the credit…they are really good!
They play great and can entertain themselves. They love movies, coloring, playing with Baxley’s kitchen, books, blocks, and going outside. They love SAM!!!
We are down to only using their pacifiers at night and Sawyer is fine without it. Potty training is next:) They go to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 and wake up around 6:30.
Pop used to say that he could tell Kelley (E’s sister) something one time and she would listen, but not E, he had to beat the hell out of him…his words:) I think of that all of the time when dealing with Baxley and Sawyer. You can talk with a mean tone to Bax and she tears up…not snuggle bug…he just laughs and keeps doing it!
Sawyer wants to be just like Sam. He is constantly following him around wanting to play and copying his every move.
He is so much like his Daddy. He gets into trouble and then turns on the charm and I melt.
This chunky monkey snuggle bug gets away with murder and he knows it! We will pay for E’s raising with this one.
This one runs the show and she knows it!
I am so blessed!
Last night we went with Lou Lou and Brandon and took the boys to the Monster Truck Jam in Memphis. They LOVED it! We took Sam last year and he remembered so much about it and was so excited. E got us tickets on the front row where we could see the trucks as soon as they came out. Before the show started Brandon made the comment that he felt a little vulnerable sitting that close…and then the first truck came out and flipped right in front of us. We thought it was about to take on the stands…I quickly agreed with Brandon.
That fuzzy blob towards the top of the pic is a guy on a motorcycle…amazing!!!
Good times!
A friend at work saw these on Pinterest and introduced me to them. I have made them a few times now and they are so good for a healthy snack! E even eats them! I had to add a little more honey.
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup peanut butter (or other nut butter)
1/3 cup honey
1 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
Linz introduced me to this cereal…darn you Linz! Don’t buy it you won’t like it…just kidding…don’t buy it because you will eat the whole box!!!
I love that my friend Katie has introduced me to a new exercise that will hopefully work off all of the Krave I am eating.
I love this Bare Minerals eye shadow Linz also introduced me to!
I love the book that our Bible Study group is reading right now.
I love that we had fun playing at BB’s and Papa’s this past weekend!
When we got home from school today, we found E and Brandon fishing at the pond. So we walked out to see what they were catching.
I love days like this!!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven’t felt very good this week, it has been busy, and I just feel like my mind is all over the place. So this is going to be a random post.
We took the babies to the doctor this afternoon for their 2 year check up. Bax has ANOTHER ear infection, but other than that everything looked good!
Last night Chelsea Lately (highly recommend it) had Reese Witherspoon as her guest. Reese went on to say that while she can’t Twitter she LOVES Pinterest! Me too Girl!
I forgot to post these Bahamas pics!
The babies have had so much fun playing with all of their birthday presents.
Last weekend E was on a hunting trip and the kids and I snuggled all weekend!
And played in the bath tub.
I found Baxley in Sam’s closet! Nice glasses Bax!
Sawyer with a pony tail…Baxley did not like him using her pony tail holders and Dad hated it!!!
E is going on another hunting trip this weekend so we are headed to Sheridan! I am so looking forward to some rest!
4 Weeks until Spring Break… Let the count down begin!!!
Yesterday, Nonna and I put together the kids Valentine treats for school. We bought these popcorn boxes at Target in the $1 section. I put a package of popcorn in each one and attached a tag by BFF Linz made for me!
I thought they turned out super cute!
