Corn, Boat, and Chelsea

E came in for a little bit today and the kids helped him in the back corn field. I kept waiting on a baseball player to walk out of the field!  This is our first year to have corn.  I told him we should make a maze out of it for the fall…yeah he decided no he would cut it and make some money…whatever!

Randomly E and the kids hopped in the boat for a little ride.  I have yet to take a ride in the boat so Sam and I decided to join them.

We just rode around and looked at fish!  E and I got a kick out the day.  If you would have told us ten years ago that we would be on a little boat in a pond in our back yard with 3 kids we would have laughed, but we love every second of it!  I love our life!

Okay, and super random…I love Chelsea Lately and last night two of her round table members were graduates of the University of Arkansas…cool!

Just Because

Love this!  I have so many good friends and feel so blessed. Thank you so much to those of you that this applies to!

Tuesday I took the kiddos to Melinda’s while I went to a dentist appointment and went by to check out my classroom.  I thought I would ease them back into going.  Today I took them back again and had a mini-spa day.  I used a gift certificate I have had since my bday for a massage and facial and used a manicure gift certificate I have had since May.  I also had a hair appointment, so like I said, a mini-spa day!

I start back to work Monday, so we are going to enjoy the next three days!

Can Not Be Trusted with a Phone…

Nonna and I were sitting in the living room talking today when Sam walked up to her with her phone…

Sam- Who is that? As he shows her the phone

Nonna- Oh that’s just the toy store don’t call them (J Christopher) and she puts it on the table

As we continue talking, I hear Sam in the kitchen on the phone, but I assume he is pretending (which he often does).

Next thing we know he is waking into the living room saying into the phone…

Sam- Hickory Ridge Arkansas just send it here

And we realize he is actually talking to JC!  He hangs up and  leaves the room just to return a few minutes later bringing Nonna the phone yelling…

Sam- they are going to bring me something!!!

Nonna then has a long talk with JC! They ask her if we are waiting on a delivery or if they are supposed to be holding something for us.  They let her know that Sam has called a few times wanting them to send him a toy to HR!  She has to explain to them that he is 4!!!! This child!!!!!!!!

Moving on…E and I went to Jonesboro today to get the babies mattresses and to Sam’s Club!!!! We are stocked!  We hope they will be able to put the beds together tomorrow so wish us luck that tomorrow night goes well!

Last Week Off

 

This is our last week of summer break! I am trying to get things done like dentist appointments and hair cuts.  Sunday, Bax and I went to church and then met Nonna and the boys for a Target run.  Bax had all kinds of things in her little bag including two pair of sunglasses, which she is obsessed with.  She took out a pair at church and wore them the entire service!

We picked up a few things for the babies beds like mattress pads, you know fun stuff!  E has been painting and trying to work on the beds so we will have them ready before we go back to school.

The kids have been enjoying time at home. In the above picture they are working on cards to send Andrew at camp. 

Sometimes the box is just as much fun as the toy!

Florida with the Girls

Last Sunday when we left the lake E and I took the kids to Cabot to meet my parents.  They took them to Sheridan for the week and Monday morning I left for Florida with these three beautiful ladies!  It was a fabulous trip!!!  We had the most relaxing time and I laughed so much!

We arrived late Monday afternoon and by the time we were settled in we were ready to head to dinner. We ate at Red Bar.  It was SOOOO good and we all left stuffed! Nonna and Blake had the stuffed eggplant which didn’t appeal to me, but was delicious!  I had the Mahi Mahi and it was good, but not as good as the eggplant. The first day it rained so we made the most of it and shopped until we dropped! We had lunch at Pompano Joe’s and dinner at Acme Oyster House in Baytowne.

Wednesday, we spent the day on the beach and had dinner at one of my favorites, Louisiana Lagniappe. 

Thursday was another day at the beach and then we went to Seaside to shop around and have dinner at Great Southern Cafe.  We truly enjoyed the food on this trip!!!

I had a wonderful trip and I truly love these women!!! I am so grateful for the opportunity to go. I missed my kiddos so much, but I really enjoyed some relaxation before we get back into the swing of school.  I also LOVED getting this time with Blake.  I love her so much and have such a good time with her.  Thank you girls for a fabulous trip and thank you Nonna for making it so special!!!

And last, but not least…none of this would have been possible without my parents!  Thank you so much Mom and Dad for keeping the kids for me.  They had a great time and we love you both so much!
