We Love Outside!

IMG_9077

Today turned out to be a beautiful day!  We went to our friend Maggie’s house, to lunch, and then to a park in town.  Sam’s friend Julia and her mommy joined us too. The kids had a big time.IMG_9076

End of the Year Picnic

IMG_9017

Today I took a personal day and spent the day with my Sam.  We started the day off at his Wee School end of the year picnic.  This is Mrs. Dallas, Sam loved her.  She was a great teacher and we will miss her so much.IMG_9014

The kids had a great time playing!

After the picnic we met up with the family for lunch at Kelley’s Restaurant and then home for a nap.  Then it was back to Wynne to watch Kohen play t-ball.  It was so stinkin cute!!!  We were able to see a bunch of Sam’s little friends and he loved cheering them on.  He can’t wait to play next year!

I absolutely love this time with him and can’t wait for summer break so I can spend some quality time with the three of them!!!

After the doctor

IMG_8997

Today was one of those days where I barely got it all done.  The babies had a check-up in Jonesboro at 4:00.  Katie came to school, got my car, and drove to HR to pick up the babies.  She loaded them up and met me in Cherry Valley so we could hurry to the doctor.  I appreciate her help so much!  Laura picked Sam up for me and kept him until we got back from Jonesboro.  I honestly don’t know how I would do it without the great friends that I have…thank you!!!IMG_8995

When we got home E just happen to be working the ground behind the house so the kids got to see him and Sam even got to ride the tractor for a little while.  I love watching them run to him!

Goggles

IMG_8900

We have these goggles that came with a fireman set.  The kids love to play with them.

I walked in and asked Sam what he was doing and he told me giving Sawyer a hair cut.IMG_8906

Baxley likes to wear the goggles backwards.

This week has been super hectic!  E has been working around the clock to finish planting rice.  He has been coming in around two or three in the morning, sleeping a few hours, and heading back out.  I am so proud of how hard he works for our family.

On top of taking care of the kids I have been preparing for a yard sale.  I am so ready to get it behind me!  I have had a few “pre-sales” and have already sold a lot and made some money so I am excited to see how we do Saturday.  My sweet mother is coming in to help me and my sweet mother in law is going to watch the kiddos for me.

I have to give a huge THANK YOU to Jac Jac and Rusty.  They are letting me have the yard sale at their house, since no one really wants to come to the farm:)  I have been taking a load to their house every day this week and they have been so good to me!  I love you guys!

My cousin Bruce is getting married Saturday night and I am excited to see my family.  I hope you guys have a great weekend!

Sam’s friend Chucky

So, Sam has an imaginary friend named Chucky…really…could you come up with a scarier name…no I don’t think so.  He randomly talks about Chucky.  This was a conversation we had driving to school the other day:

Sam: Mommy do you see that rice in that field?

Me: Yes son

Sam: That is Chucky’s rice.

Me: Is Chucky one of your buddies?

Sam: No mommy he is a farmer.

Then tonight I saw him pushing Baxley’s baby around in it’s stroller and I asked him who he was pushing.  His reply: Chucky’s baby.

WEIRD!

Mother’s Day Weekend

IMG_8939

I had the best weekend!  My mom came and spent the weekend with us.  She helped me get ready for a big yard sale that I am having next weekend.  She is the best!  I felt terrible working her on Mother’s Day weekend, but I know we both enjoyed the time together.  Late Saturday afternoon E cooked dinner for us and his parents.  It was so nice outside and we really enjoyed visiting. The kids had a great time playing outside all weekend.IMG_8935

And this pic is from lunch Sunday, on the porch again!

I love being home with my family and I feel so blessed!!!

I have thought so much this weekend about my friends who have lost their mothers.  I hope they know how proud their mothers would be of them!

E and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful mothers who help us so much!!! We love you both so much and truly appreciate all you do for us!

Happy Mother’s Day!
