First Plane Ride

We survived flying with four kids, three and under!  Praise the Lord! 

The first flight was so hard!  First off we were delayed, and then delayed again after boarding the plane.  It was so hard to try to keep the kids in their seats!  There are only four oxygen masks per three seats so they would only allow four people per three seats.  The plane was full, Robert and Gavin were sitting together, Nana had to sit alone, and then I had all the kids and dad was right in front of us.  They wouldn’t allow dad to sit with us because of the oxygen mask issue.  I kept trying to get one of the kids to sit with Papa, but they of course all wanted to sit with mommy.

This is when we first boarded…okay for a few minutes.

Then this happened!!!

Our flight didn’t leave until after 7 and many people were going to miss their connecting flights including us.  We got lucky and our connecting flight was also delayed so we made it!  The second flight was much better, all the kids slept.  We arrived in Orlando after midnight and were all exhausted!  Mom met us at the airport and we headed to a hotel room in Orlando.  The flights home were morning flights and SO MUCH BETTER!!!

I am so lucky that my Nana is still in such good health that she could travel with us.  She was always with us on our Florida trips growing up and I am so glad that she can now go with my kids.

Today is her 78th birthday!  Happy birthday Nana, we love you!

Home Sweet Home!

We are finally home, it feels like we have been gone forever!  Emmaline and Elizabeth had a surprise for us on one of the garage doors.

Isn’t that so sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!   They are going into 1st Grade, pretty impressive.  They even had Bax a toy!

We had a wonderful vacation and I have a ton of pics, but I am exhausted so tonight I am going to post pics from Morgan’s birthday party last night in LR.  It was at Jessica’s new house and it is gorgeous! 

Morgan is the one standing next to me.  She has a precious blog that I love to read.  Jessica is standing over Morgan’s left shoulder.  They are sisters and I have grown up with them, they are my family!  Over my right shoulder is BFF Audra!  It was so good seeing friends I rarely get to see.  Jaki is the beautiful one in the purple dress.  She also had twins and was a big help to me when I was expecting…it was so good to get to visit with her.  We had a great time and I am so glad I was able to celebrate with Morgan!

Heading out Tomorrow

The kids and I are heading out tomorrow for Florida.  We are flying so say a little prayer for us!  My brother and his 2 year old son Gavin are also going with us so it should be interesting.  We are going to be those people that other people pray they don’t have to sit by!  We get back next Wednesday and then I have a conference Thursday and Friday in Hot Springs.  My life-long friend Morgan is turning 30 and her sis is throwing her a party Saturday night in LR so it will be Sunday before we are back in the Ridge.

Happy 4th of July

 

We spent the day at Jac Jac’s with the family.  The picture below is from last year.

We had a wonderful lunch and then enjoyed some pool time.

I love that our family is able to get together so often and that they are so good to our children!

Okay all better

Yesterday, we had lunch at Aunty Sissy’s and then we took Sam to the Redbirds game.

These boys had the best time and were SO GOOD! 

Laura got us tickets right behind the dug-out so we could see Rocky the Redbird up and close. We were also in the shade which was nice!

Sam loved the fireworks, look at his face in the pic below!

When we walked out of the stadium there was a band playing and people were standing around enjoying the music.  Sam immediately started dancing and putting on a show.  Laura was able to video it on her phone, I have got to get a copy!

Sawyer learns to Drive

Today was a great day!  We had a big family lunch at Kelley’s and then spent the day at Jac Jac’s pool.  I didn’t get any pics:(  I took these a few days ago.

Sawyer is learning to drive the 4-Wheeler!

Baxley kept waving like she was in a parade.  Although in this pic it looks kind of like she wants off…ha!

 

Sam really enjoyed Cars 2!  He made it through the whole movie.  The only thing he didn’t like was the 3D glasses. I think we should have gone to the regular movie.
