Did I just say that???
Last week I was in a meeting after school and I caught myself saying "I can't wait to get home to my pond and see my ducks". WHAT!!???!! Did that just come out of my mouth?? What happened to "Ms. Little Rock", (little joke there) who hit The Limited on my lunch break and happy hour after work?? Wow, how five years, a husband, the bottoms, a farm, a baby, and now ducks will do to a "city girl". That said, I feel truly blessed to have the life I have.
Now, about those ducks. Shu Shu bought Sam 10 baby ducks for Easter. She had them at her house for a few days and 1 maybe 2 died. Then she took them to E at the shop where he put them in a pool of water until they were big enough to get in the pond. Well, I guess baby ducks can't swim and I think 2 drown. I do know that 5 ducks actually made it to the pond and we are now down to 4. They are getting so big and our 3 big ducks seem to be adjusting to them. They will all come right up to you.

What a Week!!!
I have added a lot today!
This was the first week back after spring break. It started off fine, but by Wednesday the craziness had begun. Sam had an ear infection toward the end of spring break. Tuesday he started running a fever and we decided to keep him home the next day. E stayed home with him in the morning and I took half a day and came home for the afternoon. On my way to school I called my mom to let her know how Sam was doing and she reminded me they would be at the hospital with her friend Carol for the day. Carol is Morgan and Jessica’s mom (I was in Morgan’s wedding over spring break) and I grew up with them. Carol was having a valve replaced and everything that could possibly go wrong did. I called to check in with them at noon when I left school and mom told me they had taken her back in because they didn’t like her heart rhythm. I came home and let E go to work and kept calling to check in with my mom. After hours passed and they really didn’t know much, I knew things were bad. Around 3:00 my mom called and said they had taken the family to the quiet room and my dad had gone back with them. A little while later my dad called and said they had given them little hope. Everyone was in shock. They had done 2 bypasses and she was on the bypass machine so long it had caused other complications. I felt I had to go, so E came back home and I headed to Little Rock. By the time I arrived they had taken her back in for a third time and they had brought over a VAD machine from Baptist and a specialist. They finally got her stabilized and the family came out and updated the waiting room (half of Sheridan). They thought her chances were improving, but it was still critical. I left the hospital around 10:30 and headed back to HR. As of today (Sunday) my dad just left the hospital and they had just finished taking her back in to close up her chest. She is progressing and they are becoming more optimistic. Please keep their family in your prayers.
Thursday I went to bed at 7:30.
Friday we went to dinner with Brandon, Laura, and Kohen and had an early night.
Saturday morning Sam and I went to a coffee at the church for Rebekah Turner. Then headed to Jonesboro for lunch and shopping with Rusty, Jac Jac, Brock, Blake, and Z-money. Saturday night we went to a party at the Patton’s for Bill and Lindsey.
Congrats guys!
