Happy Birthday Sol

IMG_5667

We had a great time at Solomon’s birthday party.  It was a super-hero theme and all the kids dressed up.  I just couldn’t bring myself to go and buy a costume so we made our own.  Super Sam was cracking me up!IMG_5669

As I was getting ready I thought to myself…I wish I had a costume…and instantly I KNEW Neall and Becca would be dressed up.

And they were!!!!!!!IMG_5672

A lot of my pictures didn’t turn out well.  This is the only one I have of the birthday boy.  He was playing so hard and had a great time.

The babies are really changing right now.  They are both sitting up for longer periods of time.  I feel safe walking away from them now as long as they have a pillow behind them.  Sawyer is a little bit better at it than Bax.

They are eating cereal/oatmeal in the mornings and a veggie and fruit at lunch and dinner.  They have just moved up to the stage 2 foods and just started having a little bit of watered down juice.  They still have a bottle about every 3-4 hours.

They are both wearing size 3 diapers.  Sawyer is wearing 9-12 month clothes and Baxley is wearing 6-9 months.  They go to bed around 7:30 or 8:00 and sleep until 7:00 in the morning.

At the beginning of the month Baxley was rolling all over the room.  I would leave the room and come back in and have to look for her.  Now at the end of the month she is pulling herself all over the room.  She will get up on her hands and knees and rock, but eventually just starts pulling herself.  She is EVERYWHERE!  She also has just cut her two bottom teeth.

Sawyer is spitting up a lot when I put him on his tummy.  He doesn’t get the tummy time Bax does because of this.  He is still on reflux medicine and thickener…I hope to talk to the doctor about this more at our next appointment.  We take them back to Children’s Hospital next Friday for another swallow study.

The babies are doing great and I absolutely love watching them grow together.  They love watching Nick Jr., reading books, and watching or playing with Sam.  He is still so good with them.

Harvest 2010

IMG_5433

Yesterday was one of my favorite days of the year…yeah yeah yeah…I hear myself. It was the first day of harvest.  It was a perfect day! E started with the rice behind our house.  The weather was perfect and there were amazingly no bugs!  So we all went out and watched E cut.  The babies were so excited to get outside…poor little things they never get to go outside.  When we pulled up to the house from school we could see the tractor and the grain cart in the back yard and I thought Sam was going to hyperventilate.  I couldn’t get him out of the car fast enough.
